Bible Trivia ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used when you use the Bible Trivia mobile application.

Information We Collect

Onboarding profile data — When you complete onboarding, the following information is sent to our secure backend (Supabase):

• First name (optional)
• Age range
• Gender
• Faith practice level and Bible familiarity
• Closeness to God and Bible reading frequency
• Current feeling, goals, habits, topics of interest, and what you are seeking
• Notification preferences (frequency and time window)
• Selected app theme and icon

This data is used to understand our users in aggregate and improve the app experience. It is not linked to your identity or device ID.

Usage analytics — We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data, including:

• App opens and screen views
• Questions answered, favorited, shared, or reported
• Topic and theme selections
• Onboarding completion (including the profile data listed above)

This data helps us understand how the app is used so we can improve it.

Feedback and reports — If you submit feedback or report a question, your message or report is sent to our backend. No account or identity is required.

Purchase data — If you purchase a subscription, transaction data is handled by RevenueCat and the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your purchase status but not your payment details.

Locally stored data — Your quiz progress, streaks, favorites, and incorrect answers are stored only on your device and are never transmitted.

Sensitive Information

The onboarding profile includes questions about your faith, religious practice, and relationship with God. This information is submitted voluntarily and is treated as sensitive. It is stored securely, never sold, and never used for advertising.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — Backend database for onboarding profiles, question reports, and feedback. Data is stored on secure servers. See supabase.com/privacy.
• PostHog — Product analytics. See posthog.com/privacy.
• RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
• Apple App Store / Google Play — App distribution and payments. Their respective privacy policies apply.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing platforms. Data is shared only with the third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate the app.

Data Retention

Onboarding profile data and analytics are retained for as long as necessary to operate and improve the app. You may contact us at any time to request deletion of your data.

Children's Privacy

Bible Trivia is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
